EAS experiences a continuous increase in research and development projects for third parties. Thus EAS has opened its Innovation Factory for external projects and offers individual services in addition to its own product portfolio. “Large and small automotive companies, cathode and anode material producers and battery end users are among our research and development clients,” says EAS Managing Director Michael Deutmeyer. EAS develops for example novel cylindrical cell designs, ultra low porosity electrodes based on its unique electrode manufacturing process, turns state of the art high capacity cathode materials into working jelly rolls and offers custom made battery solutions for demanding applications. "What we used to realise only in response to individual requests, we now offer actively and across all industries. It is the wishes of our customers that are driving us," says Dr. Frank Diehl, EAS Head of Sales. Consulting, evaluation as well as analysis and testing procedures or a certification service are also part of the Innovation Factory's new service portfolio. Overview: Pioneering Services.
